Sarmoni is one of the novel
products recently introduced
by Reis Gıda in Turkish and
world markets. Featuring
superior characteristics when
compared with the various products of
its kind, well-known Taskopru Garlic is,
together with the quality approach of Reis, marketed under
the brand of “Sarmoni”; and the garlic of other regions is
marketed under the brand of “Sarlife”, packaged in string bags
of 100 g, 250 g, 500 g and 1000 g. It is shipped to the sales
points by the parcels of 25 and 40 packages, allowing air
circulation. Besides the garlic marketed in fillets and string
bags, "puree" garlic and “peeled-clove” garlic are also
available for industrial consumption.
Turkey has been a bit late to consume the garlic as an
industrial product. The garlic processing plant established at
Taşköprü aims to meet this demand. At the first stage, the
plant operates , with overall annual production capacity of
2000 tons ,within 1500 square meters of enclosed area, its 22
processing machines and 5 auxiliary equipment, featuring;
Cleaning the garlic from its stem and tassels and degusting by
forced aeration,
Separating the cloves of the garlic and ranging sizes.
Peeling after processing in the conditioning ovens,
Further processing for puree garlic.
WHY TASKOPRU GARLIC?
This is because that Taskopru Garlic features highest organic
ferrous, sulfide and aroma content, in addition to its
qualitative characteristics that make it the best garlic in the
world. It is distinguished from other types of garlic with its
superior features like its special smell, taste and size based on
the structure of the soil it is cultivated and not having any
hormonal supplement. Taşköprü garlic is known with the
smooth and standard size of its head in reasonable
dimensions, composed of plump and sound cloves, and
especially with its standardized quality and composition and
also with the characteristic of not losing these features for a
long time. Reis/Sarmoni & Sarlife is the main garlic supplier of
the prominent food corporations of our country.
It is the first time that a type of
garlic-Taskopru Garlic- has been
exported to USA, Russia,
Germany, United Kingdom, France,
Spain, Israel, Ireland and Nigeria as an
industrial product.

EYES DUE TO ONION.
Sarmoni Garlic Integrated Plants, incorporated with Reis A.S.,
operating in Taskopru, in Kastamonu for 10 years is the first of
its kind in Turkey. Garlic and onions peeled and packaged
automatically, without human touch, meet rawmaterial
needs of plants for industrial consumption in general. Besides
they have been put on the market of markets as a part of the
project of “Products Making Life Easier.
The per-capita consumption of garlic in Turkey is very low. It is
basically because of its smell and difficulty in peeling.
According to the result of the questionnaires we conducted,
the product is especially preferred by the working woman.
They think the consumption of this product in houses will
increase thanks to its easy consumption. In the light of
impressions, we put the peeled garlic and onion to the market
shelves with no additives. Not only will the garlic be crowned
but also the per-capita consumption will increase, as the he
consumers trying to eat a healthy diet in comparison to the
past.
The shelf life of these products, packaged with no additives, is
3 months. If conserved in deepfreeze, they will remain fresh for
a year.
